This page describes what data TrueNorthCareer collects, how it is processed, where it is stored, and what rights users have over their data.

How Data Is Processed

User-provided data is stored in a structured database and used to build the Digital Twin — an evolving professional profile.
The Digital Twin provides context to the AI coaching system (Polaris), enabling personalised responses.
When users request AI-generated documents (CVs, cover letters), the system combines CV Manager data with job description analysis to produce tailored outputs.
Coaching conversations are processed by AI language models to generate responses. Conversation context is maintained within sessions and across sessions through the Digital Twin.
Anonymous feedback responses are stored separately from the respondent's identity and associated with the requesting user's profile.

Where Data Is Stored

User data is stored in a managed PostgreSQL database hosted by Supabase (cloud infrastructure).
Authentication is handled by Supabase Auth with industry-standard password hashing.
Payment processing is handled by Stripe. TrueNorthCareer does not store credit card numbers or payment method details.
AI processing uses third-party language model providers. Data sent to AI models is used for generating responses and is not retained by the model provider for training purposes.

User Rights

Access: Users can view all data they have entered through the platform's dashboard at any time.
Export: CV data can be exported in JSON format. Generated documents can be downloaded as Word files.
Modification: Users can edit or update any data they have entered at any time through the platform interface.
Deletion: Users can request full account deletion. The platform provides a structured deletion process with a grace period for cancellation. Upon confirmed deletion, all user data is permanently removed.
Portability: Structured data export (JSON) enables users to take their data to other platforms.

GDPR Compliance

TrueNorthCareer is aware of and operates in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Users provide explicit consent during account creation and accept the platform's terms of service and privacy policy.
Data processing is limited to what is necessary for delivering the platform's stated features.
Users can exercise their rights to access, rectification, erasure, and data portability.

Data Not Sold

TrueNorthCareer does not sell, rent, or share user data with third parties for marketing, advertising, or data brokerage purposes. User data is used exclusively to deliver the platform's features to the user who provided it.
